Miss Universe 2005 Pageant which was held at the Impact Arena, Bangkok, Thailand on May 31, 2005.
The 172-cm-tall Tao, 21, who is from southwestern China's Sichuan Province, beat 49 competitors last Saturday in Kunming, capital of southwestern China's Yunnan Province.
"Traditionally, Chinese women are described as dignity and elegance incarnate and I want to show the world another side of Chinese women -- modern and stylish," She said
