A Queensland model has been crowned Miss World Australia in Melbourne overnight.

Biography
The 18-year-old journalism student impressed the judges — winning the swimwear aspect of the competition and the Healthy Body Image award before being crowned the overall winner. "It hasn't quite sunk in yet so I’m looking forward to celebrating the win with the rest of the girls," she told Nine News. "There were some amazing contestants in it so it was definitely tough competition." The Miss World competition will see 120 women from around the world competing for the title.
Miss World 2011
Australia has it’s Miss World representative, and she is Amber Greasley, crowned earlier today in Melbourne. The 1st runner-up was Mietta Gornall, and the 2nd runner-up was Rachael Penrose.
The Aussie beauty will get ready to compete in Miss World 2011, in London, on November 6. after beating 26 other girls to the national title.
