Biography
Krista Kleiner is a Filipino-American beauty queen and TV actress/singer/model/host/dancer of GMA Network, a host for QTV and a martial artist.
Krista won theBinibining Pilipinas-International 2010 (Miss Philippines International 2010) and received two major awards-Miss Talent and Best in Swimsuit.
After being crowned Miss Philippines International 2010, Krista was asked by international balladeer singer Julio Iglesias to join him on his world tour. She was his special guest in concerts in Australia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Japan, Hawaii, Canada, New York, Indiana, and Las Vegas.
Krista was a finalist, won "best in talent" and the title of Miss Expressive 2010 at the Miss International pageant held in China while representing the Philippines on November 7, 2010. This title was described as being recognition for her being the most outspoken and best able to communicate with others, and for being the candidate who showed most enthusiasm for life.
Before winning Miss Philippines International, she had won several beauty titles including Miss USA Philippines 2007, Miss Pistang Pilipinas Queen of Tourism 2004, and Miss Young Philippines USA.
Krista Kleiner was born and raised in Orange County, California. She graduated from Fullerton Union High School with academic honors, then attended the University of California San Diego, where she was invited and became part of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars for her high grades. Her mother is of Filipino, Spanish, and Chinese descent and her father is of British and German descent. She holds a black belt in taekwondo, has a weapon specialty in nun chucks, and won numerous awards in Latin ballroom, swimming and tennis tournaments. She used to be a choreographer and dancer on her high school dance team.
Television
Upon signing with GMA Artist Center as an exclusive network talent in May 2008, she became a co-host with Arnel Ignacio on the primetime tv gameshow GoBingo. After two successful seasons she was cast as a regular in the primetime tv series Gagambino, the Philippines version of Spider-Man, where she displayed her ability to be a comedian and action star. Since Gagambino she has become a regular singer/ dancer, and was regularly seen on GMA's celebrity concert show SOP Rules, chosen to be one of the singers of the theme song of GMA's primetime tv series All About Eve, and appeared as one of the villains in the hit TV series Darna. She also hosted QTV's Events Inc. alongside Tim Yap.
