21 year old Monica Andrea Restrepo Villamil from Bogota was recently announced as the new Miss Mundo Colombia 2011 or internationally known as Miss World Colombia 2011 during a pageant held at the William Shakespeare Theater of the Colegio Anglo Colombiano in Bogota on August 18. She was crowned by Laura Palacio, Miss Mundo Colombia 2010 winner.
Grace Acosta Gamboa was the 1st run-up. Daniela Mejia Diaz was 2nd run-up and Marianella Velilla Orozco was the 3rd run-up.
Completing the top 7 finalists were: Estefania Restrepo Gomez, Catalina Jaramillo Sanchez and Cindy Marion Jaimes Cardenas.
Monica Restrepo will now represent Colombia at the Miss World 2011 beauty contest on November 6 in London, UK.
