Gao Yinghui was an official representative of China at Miss Universe 2006  pageant, took place at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, USA. Unlike past events, it was broadcast live on NBC on a Sunday, July 23, 2006,

Gao was born in a silver dream-like world; the city is named Harbin, the capital of ice and snow. It is described as "The Little Paris of the Orient."
