On May 18, 2012 Alexandra Fretes was chosen as Miss Paraguay for the second time. Last year she won Miss Earth Paraguay 2011 because she injured her ankle while rehearsing her routine for the Talent competition few days before travelling to the host country and Nicole Huber took over on this pageant.
Alexandra Fretes won the right to represent Paraguay in Miss Earth 2012 pageant was held on November 24, 2012 in Muntinlupa City, Philippine. but she did not take place in this competiton.
